By combing olive oil, red wine vinegar with fresh basil and oregano this salad presents some complex flavors. Add in the feta and chickpeas it all comes together. Best Spicy Potato Salad
This spicy potato salad is a tasty spin on a summer classic. There are a few ingredients that really kick up the flavor: jalapeno, chili powder, and cumin. Potato salad to me a comfort food and very filling. It’s an awesome side dish to take with you to a picnic or family gathering, just remember to be safe and wear a mask. We’ve been focusing a lot on salads because of how versatile salads can be. I think Joel also enjoys proving me wrong, since for long I was anti-salad as an entrée. So far, each salad he’s been making pack in a lot of flavor. I think the thing that takes the grilled salmon and lemon dill salad from a side to an entrée is having protein and complex flavors. In this one the salmon is the protein, but the cashews bring the nutty flavor to contrast with the refreshing lemon.

It’s getting hot here in the Midwest and as much as we love soups there comes to be time to put the ladle away. I come from one of those families where the vegetables are mostly canned and/or drowned in sauce, and the only green was iceberg lettuce. Hate on the iceberg lettuce all you want, but at least it was a vegetable. Joel had to convert me over to the beauty of salads as an entrée. This simple summer salad, is so easy to make, combining apples, tomatoes, and cheese to give you a great side salad.
